Position Description

A. Performs applicable duties required of a Sr. Mechanical Inspector Engineering within the assigned inspection discipline and certification limitations.

B. Trains personnel to develop technical ability and understanding of applicable codes, standards, inspection methods in various disciplines and NDT methods. Trains personnel in the proper use of new or existing inspection equipment tools, techniques, methods and standards and acts as mentor.

C. Performs inspections of an advanced, more complex nature in addition to providing day-to-day work direction, as required, for the inspection of new, existing, or vendors facilities assuring that materials are correct for the intended service and work performed conforms to engineering specifications and/or Saudi Aramco standards.

D. Reviews: 1) Design Drawings and engineering specifications assuring that all applicable Saudi Aramco standards have been applied, 2) Waiver requests to assure they accurately represent the conditions described, 3) New and proposed standards for outdated, conflicting, ambiguo or incorrect information 4) QA/QC programs for compliance. Writes and/or reviews inspection reports, pre & post T&I reports, worksheets, non-compliance reports and verifies logbook entries of on-site inspection findings, ensures all hard copy and electronic databases are
initiated and maintained.

E. Performs quality assurance assessments at vendor plants, as directed.

F. Continues; personal professional development by attending courses, seminars etc.

G. Reviews and monitors quality control programs developed by construction contractors.

H. Performs other miscellaneous related duties as requested by the applicable Supervisor.

Minimum Requirements

B.S. in Engineering.

Must have a thorough knowledge of engineering practices and economic principles, calculation methods, design details, US Codes Standards and Specifications.

Duties and Responsibilities

CIVIL/PLUMBING/HVAC: Must be able to demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of the applicable Saudi Aramco Standards, Uniform Building code and Uniform Plumbing Code. Preferred to have Quality Management System registered/ certified auditor (IRCA/RABQSA) or ISO 9001:2008 Lead Auditor Course or equivalent. Must complete following: Liquid Penetrant Testing Level I Course Magnetic Particle Testing Level I Course SA Coating Inspector Certification - Level 1 Any two of 1: ACI Inspector Certification or equivalent 2: IBC, Commercial Building Inspector (B2) or equivalent 3: IBC, Commercial Plumbing Inspector (P2) or equivalent 4: API 936

PLANT AND EQUIPMENT/WELDING/COATING: Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of codes such as ASME Section I, V, VIII and IX, ASME B31.3, and/or applicable Saudi Aramco Standards. Preferred to have Quality Management System registered/certified auditor (IRCA/RABQSA) or ISO 9001:2008 Lead Auditor Course or equivalent. Must obtain following certifications: Liquid Penetrant Testing Level II ** Magnetic Particle Testing Level II ** UTTG ** SA Coating Inspector - Level 2 or CSWIP BGAS Grade-1 Visual Testing Level II CSWIP 3.1 or CWI/AWS Inspector RTFI Any two of API 570, 510, 653

COATINGS: Must be able to demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of the 'H' series of Saudi Aramco standards and approved manufacturer's data sheets, or equivalent.

V.RELIEF VALVES: Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of Company and National Standards e.g. ASME, API, ANSI etc. in relation to requirements for relief valves. Must obtain following: Liquid Penetrant Testing Level II certification ** Magnetic Particle Testing Level II certification ** UTTG Certification** SA Coating Inspector - Level 2 or CSWIP-BGAS Grade-1 certification Visual Testing Level II certifications CSWIP 3.1 or CWI/AWS Inspector certification Any two of API 570, 510, 653 certification Relief valve Inspection Course or equivalent

NON-DESTRUCTIVE TESTING: Certifications Required: (Conventional NDT Personnel) Must acquire following certifications 1. Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) Level-2 2. Penetrant Testing (PT) Level-2 3. Visual Testing (VT) Level-2 4. Radiographic Testing (RT) Level-2 or UT Shear wave Level-2 5. CSWIP 3.0 or Associate AWS (ACWI) 6. Any one of following options Option-A: # NDT Level-3 in any two (2) Methods Option-B: # NDT Level-3 RT # KASCT Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) Certification Preferred to have Quality Management System registered/certified auditor (IRCA/RABQSA) or ISO 9001:2008 Lead Auditor Course or equivalent. Certifications Required: (Advanced NDT Personnel) Must acquire following certifications 1. Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) Level-2 2. Penetrant Testing (PT) Level-2 3. Radiographic Testing (RT) Level-2 or UT Shearwave Level-2 4. CSWIP 3.0 or Associate AWS (ACWI) 5. Any five (5) Level 2 certificates from the following: # Eddy Current Testing (ET) # Alternating Current Filed Measurement (ACFM) # Remote Field Testing (RFT) # Internal Rotary Inspection System (IRIS) # Magnetic Flux leakage (MFL) Tank Floor # Acoustic Emission Testing (AE) Tank # Infrared Testing # EMAT # Phased Array # LIXI Profiler or Equivalent # Time of Flight Diffraction (ToFD) # Corrosion Mapping # HIC/Stepwise Crack examination # Remote Visual Testing (Robotic Video Crawler/Video Borescope) 6. Any one of following options Option-A: # NDT Level-3 in Any two (2) Methods Option-B: # NDT Level-3 RT # KASCT Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) Certification Preferred to have Quality Management System registered/certified auditor (IRCA/RABQSA) or ISO 9001:2008 Lead Auditor Course or equivalent.

CATHODIC PROTECTION: Must be able to demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of Saudi Aramco standards, 'X' series and cathodic protection related Company Standards Drawings.
