We are seeking a Public Relations Specialist to join the Relations Division of Public Relations Department.
The Relations Division is responsible for the public relations initiatives within the company. The Division creates, manages, and implements public relations campaigns with the goal of enriching the company's position within the public eye.
The Public Relations Specialist primary role is to assists in the preparation of plans and programs designed to present and interpret company operations and policies to employees, the press, and the general public on an international basis.
As the successful candidate you will hold a Bachelor’s degree in journalism, marketing, or related field, from a recognized and approved program. You will have a minimum 10-15 years years of experience in journalism in one of the following fields - Writing, Communications, Public Relations or Media Relations. Your experience will be from either a news, public relations agency, or in-house communications setting, ideally in the energy, oil and gas, or chemical sectors.
You should. You will have experience in designing and executing successful public relations campaigns at both a local and national level. You will be experienced in acting as a company spokesperson; comfortable and skilled in both broadcast and print media interviews. You must have been involved with social media including blogs, Facebook, Twitter. You must be familiar with event planning and have the ability to manage diverse public relations teams. Strong understanding of communications channels and audiences in the Middle East region is desirable. Exceptional writing and editing skills is a must.
Duties and Responsibilities
You will be required to perform the following:
Plan and direct public relations programs designed to create and maintain a favorable public image.
Develop company literature and other forms of communication.
Create marketing and promotional materials, both print and electronic.
Copyedit, proofread, and revise communications.
Work with management to determine and manage budgets.
Promote company communications objectives through public relations initiatives.
Develop communications campaigns.
Create and deliver press releases, media relations content, case studies, white papers, executive bios, corporate newsletter content, social media content, and speaking proposals.
Identify, develop and execute communications strategies to meet corporate communications objectives.
Research media coverage and industry trends.
Develop story ideas and execute them through appropriate channels to identified audiences.
Participate in company communications strategy.
Conduct media outreach.
Prepare briefing materials.
Coordinate company officer’s interaction at conferences, trade shows, and press interviews.
