Saudi Aramco, long known for its leadership in oil exploration, production, and refining, is seeking experienced professionals to join our Refining & Marketing LFP Team.
We have an immediate requirement to recruit an expert in sales, with field experience and the capacity to analyze the variables of the market. Saudi Aramco’s position as a world-leading energy producer offers unique opportunities for growth and integration in downstream.
Upon joining the team in Saudi Arabia you will be given a comprehensive briefing on, and be expected to familiarize yourself with, Saudi Aramco’s current LFP business plan as well as future plans and ambitions. You will play an integral part in reviewing the LFP business model, providing your feedback and recommendations on Saudi Aramco’s LFP marketing and sales strategies. You will be joining the team mandated to build the lubricants business for Saudi Aramco.
In your first 3-6 months you will be participating heavily in developing business plans, marketing and sales strategies and developing the first draft line of products and associated augmented offerings. You will be collaborating with the technical and financial professionals using your market knowledge and expertise to determine methods and channel of sale, and be involved in finalizing and submitting the LFP sales strategy for management approval.
By the end of your first year, you and the team will have started to implement the approved business plan and strategy and will have made ground in developing relationships with potential customers, including distributors, car dealerships, gas stations, etc. You will also have played an integral role in reviewing any potential acquisitions, which Saudi Aramco can use to enhance their position. At this stage you will have gained a strong understanding of the LFP market in Saudi Arabia and externally, as well as having acclimatized to the sales culture.
This is an excellent opportunity to join and develop a new business area for Saudi Aramco. It is a highly visible, challenging role with the ability to shape the marketing and sales strategy of the lubricants business and play a pivotal role in launching Saudi Aramco’s Lubricant Finished Products in-Kingdom by 2018.
As the successful candidate you will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Sales/Marketing/Chemical Engineering or a business-related subject.
You will have 8+ years of experience in sales having worked in an industrial LFP sales department managing accounts and customers through different market channels (direct sales and through distributors). You will have experience in supporting the Product Line update, the definition of the marketing plan, and perform periodic analysis of the market.
You will have excellent field sales experience and track records within the LFP automotive business and have developed a strong network within the industry.
Self-drive, emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills are basic requirements.
Your product line will have been mainly automotive.
Duties and Responsibilities
Contribute to the LFP business by:
Participate in the pre-launch activities (sales/marketing plan, line definition, customers approach) alongside the technical and financial functions within the Lubricants Team.
Liaise with the centralized marketing functions to define and deliver the communications plan.
Receive and distribute intelligence and analysis as requested on a periodic and/or spot basis.
Develop relationships with potential customers both in-Kingdom and externally.
Analyze any potential acquisition opportunities.
Sell to customers and manage accounts.
Lead and develop the LFP sales team as it evolves.
