A. Provides specialist advice and assistance on all matters pertaining to their field of technical expertise as it impacts the Company's petroleum exploration production and processes. B. Undertakes original investigative studies to resolve technical problems outside the scope of available literature. C. Prepares papers and/or manuals setting forth results of their studies, and recommends corrections or other appropriate action to apply the results of the work. D. Keeps current with significant developments in their field of specialization and applies these developments to solving problems. Is expected to make periodic visits to operating plants, research laboratories, and to attend professional and industrial society meetings. E. Conducts seminars and presentations for involved personnel in areas of their principal contacts relating to the resolution of technical problems. F. Maintains and updates their working knowledge of applicable state-of- the-art research instrumentation as it may relate to their work. G. Performs other miscellaneous related duties as requested.
A. B.S. Degree in a Science/Engineering Discipline. B. Nine years experience in industrial or applied research laboratories including 5 years at senior level in their area of specialization. C. Incumbent will normally have achieved industry recognition through participation in professional societies such as ACS, API or ASTM.
