Reviews 30,60 and 90 % Design packages for Residential, Commercial, and industrial buildings in evaluating Building design, Room and office layouts, Roof and Ceiling Details, Fire and Safety requirements, LEED Certification requirements, ergonomics and space utilization, detail scope of work, Bill of Materials, and preliminary cost estimates. Carries out full analytical analysis of major functional areas in the design package to ensure it meets occupancy requirements, incorporates all key facilities and includes full operation and maintenance requirements such as Elevators and Window Washing Facilities. Carries out full evaluation of major fixtures and fittings such as Building Cladding, Roofing materials and Fire separation to ensure that the final facility can be fully certified for occupancy. Review major building finishing materials for quality, standardization and durability. Fully Support Capital projects execution to ensure Saudi Aramco and World Wide industrial standards are being met and complied. Assists CS proponent Departments in the development of the Capital Program Briefs. Review and evaluate Construction Change Orders to ensure full compliance with Standards and costs are in line with project budgets. Liaise fully with Facilities Planning Department and Project Management. Monitor and review in coordination with Saudi Aramco PMT the performance and work quality of the contractor during the construction phase. Be fully familiar with various types of building construction methods such as Steel Frame and conventional design. Conducts frequent project site inspections.
Duties And Responsibilities:
Civil Engineer normally designs or studies structural modifications to facilities such as industrial shop buildings, warehouses, residences, marine piers, oil handling, processing, storage and pipeline facilities, facilities, sewer systems, roads and streets. Occasionally called upon to design new facilities of the types mentioned.
Prepare approvals of the problem solving report plans, schedules and provides coordination and work direction as required for the preparation of designs, processes, reports, correspondence and related data and assures the efficiency, adequacy and conformance to overall objectives of project. Formulates the basis for an engineering study or project or design in any basic or special engineering field by analyzing and evaluating all data pertinent to assignment. Evaluates data as to scope, effect on existing installation, economic value, long range planning and budgetary considerations. Leads and recommends new continuous improvement solutions for installations or modifications to improve existing facilities and standardization within specific fields of endeavor. Estimates costs, prepares justifications and completes expenditure requests as required Support project execution and project proposals and initiates detailed work outline and makes decision as to basic processes, and/or equipment. Performs work and or delegates work to other engineers and final development of specialized or technical proposals and studies of proposed projects. Discusses, coordinates and resolves problems with personnel throughout Aramco and subsidiaries and with outside of Company organizations. Acts as technical consultant when required. Reviews work of engineers directed. Checks that reports are written according to established methods of good report presentation. Makes recommendations for future study or report changes. Approves reports for transmittal to supervisor. Reviews work of third party, technology reports, and engineering standards.
EDUCATION: B.S. in Engineering
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 7 years working experience from date of obtaining license/qualifications with 5 years minimum as Sr. Project Site Engineer in building construction, renovations, design/engineering and on site construction/maintenance projects.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Working knowledge of various Engineering Standards, Safety and other Industry codes. Good knowledge in computer application such as Microsoft office. Must be fluent in both written and spoken English and competent to write technical reports. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, clients and general public.
